(5) Payment methods By Bank Card
Card types accepted: Carte Bleue, Visa, MasterCard, E-Carte Bleue.

The Customer declares that he is the holder of the bank card used for payment and has the necessary funds. To finalize the payment, he must provide:

  • The sixteen digit number
  • The expiration date
  • The three-digit code (cryptogram) on the back of the card.

The transaction will be immediately debited after verifying the data and receiving authorization from the issuing bank. In accordance with article L. 132-2 of the Monetary and Financial Code, the commitment to pay by card is irrevocable. By providing their card information, the Customer authorizes the Seller to debit the total amount.

If debit is impossible, the sale will be canceled automatically.

Payment is made on the secure server of our partner CIC@paiement, with encrypted processing via the 3D Secure system to avoid any fraud.

The Customer has, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, a right of access, rectification and opposition concerning his personal data. In the event of an unvalidated transaction, the sale will not be confirmed.

The Seller does not keep banking information, which must be entered with each order.


(6) Email 
We aim to answer to all emails within twenty-four hours. Delays may, however, arise because of circumstances beyond our control. 

(7) Delivery Rates
Delivery in Mauritius for orders of Rs. 1,500 and over is made free of charge except for those products requiring special transport arrangements and manpower. In such circumstances, a proper quotation will be given to the customer. 



(8) Delivery Time  The standard delivery time scale in Mauritius and Rodrigues on all in-stock products is 2-3 working days. Products on export will depend on the mode of transport chosen, on the availability of carriers and may take between 4 to 15 days or even more. Out of stock items are subject to the delay in sourcing from the manufacturers and this will be indicated to the purchaser upon confirmation of his/her order. 
The goods must be signed for on delivery. They cannot be left at neighbours, in garages or at the back door etc. Buyers or consignees in Mauritius

must present proof of identity and/or the original invoice for the goods purchased to the delivery personnel. 

Customers are expected to take delivery on the agreed date. Failure to comply with this rule may result in additional charges. 

Delivery outside Mauritius and Rodrigues by courier or otherwise does not include unpacking, special packaging for safe transport by sea or air or installation. We strongly advise you to retain the original packaging of all products in case you need to request a service or if you have to move. 

(9) Delivery Time Slots 
We do not offer a time-definite delivery service, due to potential delays en route. Deliveries are generally made between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays in Mauritius.

Please note that we will not be liable for any loss, cost, damage, charges or expenses caused by any delay in the delivery of the goods. 

(10) Delivery Address 
For purchases made by credit or debit card, we will deliver the products to the address provided by the buyer.

(11) Damage in transit In the case of goods exported from Mauritius, our company accepts no responsibility for any damage which may be suffered by the goods during transportation
 

(12)Returns 
Flawless items:
We regret that we are unable to accept returned goods once sold and received in good condition.

Defective items: 
Delivered products that are “defective” or “dead on arrival” must be reported within 30 days of the delivery date. We will arrange collection of the goods. Upon receipt of the goods and confirmation of the defect, you will be offered a replacement, repair or full refund, provided the item is complete with all accessories and instruction manual and in its original box and packaging. origin.

If the product is not considered defective, the goods will be returned to you. In this case, the collection and return costs will be your responsibility.
(13) Warranty conditions

THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IF THE PRODUCT/APPLIANCE IS USED ON A COMMERCIAL BASIS.

Under the warranty COSMOS & MAURITIUS. guarantees the appliance/product purchased against faulty workmanship or material only for the period specified on the invoice as from date of purchase.



Office products:

The warranty does not apply to:
a) Computers/ Laptops: Disk drive heads, keyboards, switches, machines affected by viruses, pointing devices e.g. mouse, back up batteries, speakers, software problems, customers’ data on hard disks
b) Cash registers & Calculators: paper rolls, ink rolls, print heads
c) Facsimile Machines: Paper rolls, ink rolls, print heads
d) Paper Shredders: Blades 
e) Photocopiers/Laser printers/Multi Function Centres: Drums, developers, toner, developing units, coronas, all lamps, fuser rollers, heat rollers
f) Printers: Printer heads, printer ribbons, ink cartridges
g) Telephones: Keyboard & Batteries (if over-discharged), damages caused by water or any other liquid
h) UPS/Laptop Computers: Batteries (if over-discharged)
i) Data/Video projectors: Lamps 

E) Refrigerator/Freezers/Wine Cellars: 
Sealed Cabinets & Thermostats: 1 year
Compressors only: Freezers & Wine Cellars – 5 years; Refrigerators – 10 years
Contents of these appliances such as foodstuffs, drinks, wine, medicines – No guarantee 


F) Cell Phones/Laptops 
Mobile phones: Battery – 6 months; Electronic – 1 year

No cover for damages caused by water or any other liquid. 


G) Watches: 
Warranty on movement parts only; 6 months on batteries 

(14) Maintenance contract

In case of office automation products, fitness equipment and air conditioners the purchaser residing in Mauritius is invited to enter into a maintenance agreement with COSMOS & MAURITIUS when the warranty lapses. 

Under the warranty COSMOS & MAURITIUS. guarantees the appliance/product purchased against faulty workmanship or material only for the period specified on the invoice as from date of purchase.


(15) During the warranty period:
I) The appliance/product will be serviced at the most suitable and convenient location for the Company.
II) All transportation costs will be borne by the purchaser. 
III) The Company will repair or, at its discretion, replace any defective part of the appliance/product. 
IV) The Company will not be liable for any loss and/or damage caused by the malfunction of the appliance/product. 
V) The Company reserves the right to replace, at its discretion, any appliance/product or part of an appliance/product sent for service/repair with a similar item of approximate date of manufacture. 

(16) During the warranty period, no claim will be entertained if:
I) The sales invoice with warranty document is not presented. 
II) An unauthorized person has repaired or attempted to repair the appliance/product. 
III) Any unauthorized alteration or modification is made to the appliance/product. 
IV) The serial number of the appliance/product has been removed, defaced or altered. 
V) The appliance/product has not been installed, operated or maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction manual. 
VI) The purchaser has not complied with the agreed payment terms and has not paid the installments when due. 
VII) The appliance has been used on a power supply voltage other than that specified. 
VIII) The appliances are damaged by external factors such as lightning, water infiltration, humidity, sweat, excessive heat or cold, cockroaches, rats, ants and other pests, power surges, natural disasters, accidents, misuse, salt air corrosion, etc. 
IX) The damaged parts are those that are subject to wear and tear. 

(17) Service
We suggest that the first action in the event of a possible breakdown is to consult the instruction manual provided with the product. 


Products covered by the warranty will be repaired in accordance with the terms of the warranty. In Mauritius, our technicians can call on the customer for maintenance and repair, if necessary. For foreign customers, service can be provided provided that the assemblies are sent to our workshop at the following address:


For products found not to be defective, an inspection fee will be charged to the customer along with all transport and related costs. In case of defective products, they will be repaired and returned to the customer after payment of all labour and transport costs.
